Snowdog:Hadrian's Hounds

Catherine is a ceramic artist who gained her BA honours in Design from Glasgow School of Art in 2007 and spent a further four years as a graduate assistant in the ceramics department before undertaking her masters in Design.

"I’m really excited to be part of Great North Snowdogs, which has given me a chance to be part of a major art project in the North East, a place I still call home despite now living in Glasgow. I’ve been involved in other Wild in Art trails and they are a quirky and fun way show case work but, more importantly, to engage with people and to help raise money for brilliant charities. It is amazing to see the way the public, of all ages, get so caught up in the excitement of the trails and to know you’re making people smile.
I have always had an interest in the history and heritage of the North East, starting my career as an archaeologist, and my design is a reflection of that and a homage to the North East’s Roman past".
