Sarah-Jane specialises in illustration and now works as a freelance artist. Her objective is '“to find the common thread that connects us and I hope that empathy is at the heart of my work”.
"I am absolutely delighted to be involved with the Great North Snowdog project. A very special organisation, St Oswald’s hospice provide an invaluable service within the North East community; their vital work assisting children and adults through end of life care must be supported in whatever way possible.
It is a lovely opportunity for me to be a part of this eyecatching project, to help raise awareness and funds for an energetic and worthwhile charity.
On top of that I am a huge admirer of illustrator and author Raymond Briggs and his creations. I also happen to be from the North East, I love dogs and I’m lucky enough to be a painter so I feel right at home. My own snowdog design will be based on the art that I am known for: sugar and spice and all things nice but with some puppy dogs tails too.
I will do my best to deliver a pedigree pooch and I hope visitors will enjoy the whole dog show"
