chART Children's Hospice Arts, (known as chART) is a small registered charity based in Newcastle, founded in 2011 to bring the Arts to UK children's hospices. chART aims to enrich the lives of children and young adults with life-limiting conditions through the provision of creative, performing and literary Arts, enabling expression, creativity and communication. We are also committed to making the Arts accessible to their parents, siblings and carers.Hospices and families often lack the time or resources to fund this provision and that's where chART comes in! Whether it's in the field of art and design, crafts, music, literature, photography, film, theatre or dance, we aim to facilitate a diverse range of exciting Arts related experiences.
chART have kindly sponsored the St Oswald's Hospice Snowdog.
"St. Oswald's was the first hospice which chART worked with in 2011. Since then, our support has included funding family fun days, theatre visits, the provision of art and crafts supplies, musical instruments, cinema vouchers, a Beamz interactive music system, books, films and toys. In recognition of their outstanding work, we are proud to be St. Oswald's sponsor for the Great North Snowdogs campaign. It is our privilege to be part of such a significant event, which will result in increased public awareness and funds for the hospice. It will also help to raise chART's profile and fund-raising potential. We are delighted to be involved in working alongside St. Oswald's in such a huge and exciting community project, which will bring the region's rich culture and amazing artistic talent to the entire North East of England!"
