Culture Bridge

Culture Bridge North East is one of 10 Bridge organisations across England. We are funded by Arts Council England to support both schools and cultural organisations in their work, to make sure that every child and young person has the opportunity to experience the richness of the arts and culture. Culture Bridge North East is managed by Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums.

Culture Bridge has funded free Arts Award Advisor training for 30 schools who are part of the Snowdogs Project – and supported in the design of the Schools Resource Pack.

“To have so many local schools involved in the Great North Snowdogs Programme gives us a real moment to celebrate. Teachers are unsung heroes and champions of our children's extraordinary creativity. Arts Council England and Culture Bridge North East work to make sure that every child and young person can have access to great arts and cultural opportunities; and Arts Award is one way in which we do this. Culture Bridge North East is delighted that so many schools involved in the Snowdogs Programme are working with Arts Award and we are really looking forward to seeing all of your finished Snowdogs on the sculpture trail!” - Helen Green, Culture Bridge North East, Area Manager for Newcastle, Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
