Artist Tim Miness worked closely with Tait Walker to develop the concept for 'Addam Upright'. Tait Walker were keen for him to have a personality and a character all of his own and for him to reflect the nature of their business as accountants and financial advisers. Initial designs for Addam showed him smartly dressed in a blue pinstripe suit, crisp white shirt, designer glasses, numbered tie and TW brand-coloured socks on his ears. He is also carrying a calculator and fountain pen in is trouser pocket – the hallmarks of a good accountant! As the project progressed, Tim added little extras like jacket buttons with numbers on … and there are also a few others hidden around the sculpture for people to find once the trail goes live.
