Tails of the North East
When looking at the brief, artist David decided he wanted to keep the design and concept as aesthic and simple as possible. His inspiration came from his love of the North East and aimed to create a landscape that would appeal to people from all of the geographical areas in which the Snowdogs will appear. He wanted to appeal to an audience as young as toddlers appreciating the simple playful design to older adults looking to spot the different monuments and North East icons represented. He created his mosiac design using thousands of coloured shapes created with a vinyl cutter - he has ten years experience working with this medium. The different 'scenes' and 'stories' represented merged and mixed into one another covering the Snowdog's body entirely.
