Fun at the Seaside

The children in Early Years wanted to design the Snowdog to remind us of summer at the seaside. As we live very close to the seaside the children talked about what they enjoyed doing at the beach and that it reminded them of their summer holidays. Our topic this term has been 'the seaside' and when planning the Snowdog the children had lots to talk about. Using real objects like shells, driftwood and sand was very important to them as they could feel the seaside as well see the seaside. The children in nursery are going to design and make the collar because they felt it was important to have a lead, we don't want our Snowdog to run away! All the children designed their Seaside Snowdog on the computers and we put all our ideas together. A real team effort!
