The children from St Joseph’s RC Primary School are all members of a different house related to four northern saints. The children are rewarded with house points for excellent behaviour, wonderful work and being kind to others. The children helped to decorate Ace’s feet by giving him socks to match each of our four houses. These were created with the children’s thumbprints. The blue foot represents St. Bede House, the yellow foot St. Cuthbert, the green foot St. Oswald and the red foot St. Aidan.

The children were then all given a paw print to decorate using our four house colours and then we attached a photo of each child. The children and staff were scattered across Ace’s body, face and legs.

Our crochet club created his scarf and ear warmers during their lunchtimes.
The children decided to name our dog Ace as this is our school mission statement:

A – Aim high
C – Care for others
E – Everyone welcome
